xInstallation & adjustment
Continuously adjustable drop height: The drop can be continuously adjusted from 0 up to the maximum drop height, and the selected extension position can be saved. The drop does not need to be fully extended. The tension system ensures even tension and a flat projection surface. If required, the tension can be readjusted in one direction to suit the selected extension height. This allows the desired drop height to be freely selected without compromising the flatness of the projection surface.
HiViGrey Cinema SD – grey acoustically transparent anti-speckle fabric for RGB triple-laser (Gain 0.85)
HiViGrey Cinema SD combines a finely woven, acoustically transparent structure with a grey projection base and effective reduction of visible laser speckle. It is especially suitable for modern RGB triple-laser projectors with standard-throw or long-throw optics.
Compared with a white acoustic fabric, the grey base provides a visibly better black level and a calmer, more contrast-rich image while maintaining natural colours, a wide viewing angle and very good sound transparency. With Gain 0.85, brightness remains well balanced for dedicated home cinema use.
The woven surface is optimized for resolutions up to 8K and allows centre and front speakers to be positioned behind the projection area for a clean, cinema-style installation.
Ceiling Recess TID Series – invisible integration with tension system
Technical features of the casing:
- full ceiling recess – almost invisible when retracted
- shallow installation depth of only 13 cm – especially convenient for limited ceiling space
- Tab-Tension system – permanently perfect flatness without waves
- stable aluminum casing – torsion-resistant, durable, and cleanly integrated
- quiet tubular motor – smooth and quiet operation
- ideal for drywall and sophisticated residential installations
- 3D Compatible: Suitable for active 3D projection with compatible projectors and shutter glasses.
The combination of discreet ceiling installation, shallow installation depth, and lateral screen tension ensures an elegant overall solution with a permanently flat projection surface – crucial for high-quality 4K and 8K projection.
The result: A professional built-in screen with a perfect image surface and particularly shallow installation depth – ideal for modern home cinema and living room concepts.
Suitable for / Not recommended for / Alternative
Suitable for: acoustically transparent home cinema installations, RGB triple-laser projectors, standard-throw and long-throw projectors, and rooms with good light control.
Not recommended for: UST / Laser TV; strongly illuminated rooms where a dedicated ALR screen is required.
Alternative: without acoustic transparency → HiViGrey Cinema 3L; more ambient-light contrast with acoustic transparency → HiViGrey Cinema 5DMP; UST / Laser TV → HiViPrism Cinema HDR CLR.
Care & cleaning
The screen surface is easy to maintain and can be cleaned when necessary. Dust can be removed with a soft duster or cloth. More persistent dirt or grease marks can be wiped carefully with a soft, damp cloth. If necessary, a mild, neutral cleaner can also be used.
Seamless one-piece projection surface
The projection fabric is made from one continuous piece of material. There are no joined, welded or sewn sections within the visible projection area, so there are no distracting seam or brightness lines. This keeps the image homogeneous and visually consistent across the entire surface.
Variants: Aspect ratio and warranty
Please choose your variant:
- Aspect ratio 16:9 HD Widescreen or 21:9 Cinemascope
- Warranty: 2 years or 5 years (optional)
Black gauze backing (optional): reduces unwanted light reflections behind the acoustically transparent projection surface. Price depends on the delivery country.
