HiViGrey Cinema 0.8 – Universal Contrast Fabric in Elegant Light Grey

The grey base of the 0.8 gain material offers clear advantages in everyday use:
  • visibly improved black levels compared to white screens
  • balanced contrast representation even with ambient light in the room
  • natural, unadulterated colour reproduction without over-saturation
  • wide viewing angle stability for flexible seating positions
The moderate gain of 0.8 reduces excess light, making the image less prone to washout and appearing more harmonious overall.
The result: A balanced all-round screen for realistic colours, stable contrasts and a pleasant cinematic viewing experience in daily use.

HiViLux® FT Series – Floor Tension Motorised Screen with Flexible Placement

Mechanics & Construction – key features

  • Freestanding floor construction (flexible placement): quick setup, easy alignment, no installation effort.
  • Acoustically transparent lower drop: The lower drop between the projection surface and the housing is made of micro-perforated, acoustically transparent material. This allows speakers or a soundbar to be positioned behind the lower drop. The “Acoustics” specification in the technical data refers exclusively to the actual projection surface.
  • Lateral tension system: uniform tension to reduce edge waves and support flatness.
  • Reinforced casing & stable base: robust construction for high rigidity, secure stand and durable mechanics.
  • Solid, stable casing: high inherent stability for smooth running, fewer vibrations and a secure stand.
  • Quiet, powerful motor: reliable operation with low noise development.
  • Up to 150” (16:9): large-format cinema experience without permanent installation.

Optional Equipment

  • IR remote control + trigger (optional): comfortable infrared control and trigger activation for automatic retraction/extension in the setup.
  • Wall bracket (optional): for additional fixing/placement depending on the room concept.

Suitable for / Not recommended for / Alternative

Suitable for: standard-throw and long-throw and also UST when dedicated CLR is not required.

Not recommended for: UST when maximum CLR is required; RGB triple-laser when speckle is the main issue.

Alternative: UST with CLR priority → HiViPrism Cinema HDR CLR; RGB triple-laser → HiViGrey Cinema 3L.

Seamless one-piece projection surface

The projection fabric is made from one continuous piece of material. There are no joined, welded or sewn sections within the visible projection area, so there are no distracting seam or brightness lines. This keeps the image homogeneous and visually consistent across the entire surface.

Continuously adjustable drop height: The drop can be set to any height from 0 up to its maximum; the selected extension position can be saved. Adjusting the height does not affect the flatness of the projection surface.

Variants: Aspect Ratio and Warranty

Please select your variant:

  • Aspect ratio 16:9 HD Widescreen or 21:9 Cinemascope
  • Casing colour: Black or White
  • Warranty: 2 years or 5 years (optional)
