HiViGrey Cinema SD – acoustically transparent anti-speckle woven fabric for RGB triple-laser projectors (Gain 0.85)

A rare combination of effective speckle reduction, good brightness and genuine acoustic transparency for modern RGB-laser home cinemas.

The finely woven HiViGrey Cinema SD structure reduces distracting laser speckle while providing even, natural image reproduction. Gain 0.85 maintains balanced brightness, while the grey tint supports black level and image depth. Speakers can be positioned invisibly behind the projection surface.

  • Clearly reduced laser-speckle perception: calmer, more homogeneous image with RGB triple-laser projectors
  • Acoustically transparent: ideal for centre and front speakers behind the screen
  • Gain 0.85: balanced brightness with improved perceived black level
  • Natural colour reproduction: soft cinematic character without artificial-looking reflections
  • No pronounced hotspot: uniform light distribution and a wide viewing angle
  • 3D Compatible: Suitable for active 3D projection with compatible projectors and shutter glasses.

The result: HiViGrey Cinema SD is not simply an acoustic screen that happens to work with RGB laser. It is a balanced anti-speckle solution for demanding home cinemas: acoustically transparent, low-speckle, bright enough for large images, with convincing contrast and natural colour reproduction.

7 mm Zero Frame – Maximum Image Area, Minimal Visibility

Frame Features:

  • High-quality aluminum profile frame – rigid and warp-resistant
  • Precision fabric tensioning for a permanently flat projection surface
  • Ultra-slim visible border (7 mm) for a true "Zero Frame" appearance
  • Wall mounting with adjustable brackets for precise alignment
  • Quick and easy installation

Transport-friendly frame construction

The long frame sides are split into two sections for easy and safe transport. Depending on the model, the package length is therefore usually only approx. 1.5–2.0 m, so the screen can also be transported in many passenger cars.

The projection fabric is supplied safely rolled on a sturdy large-diameter cardboard tube. It is not folded, preventing permanent creases and kink marks.

Care & cleaning

The screen surface is easy to maintain and can be cleaned when necessary. Dust can be removed with a soft duster or cloth. More persistent dirt or grease marks can be wiped carefully with a soft, damp cloth. If necessary, a mild, neutral cleaner can also be used.

Seamless one-piece projection surface

The projection fabric is made from one continuous piece of material. There are no joined, welded or sewn sections within the visible projection area, so there are no distracting seam or brightness lines. This keeps the image homogeneous and visually consistent across the entire surface.

Suitable for / Not recommended for / Alternative

Suitable for: RGB triple-laser, acoustically transparent installations and standard-throw and long-throw.

Not recommended for: UST / Laser TV.

Alternative: without acoustic transparency → HiViGrey Cinema 3L; UST → HiViPrism Cinema HDR CLR.

Available Options: Aspect Ratio & Warranty

Please choose your preferred configuration:

  • 16:9 HD Widescreen or 21:9 Cinemascope aspect ratio
  • 2-year or optional 5-year warranty
  • Black acoustic backing fabric (optional)

Black gauze backing (optional): reduces unwanted light reflections behind the acoustically transparent projection surface. Price depends on the delivery country.
