The HiViLux® Tension motorized screen with the grey HiViGrey Cinema 0.8 surface combines modern projection technology with an elegant, high-quality design. The universal grey surface is primarily intended for standard-throw and long-throw projectors and provides improved black levels compared with a white screen. It is also compatible with UST projectors when dedicated CLR performance is not required. For RGB triple-laser projectors where visible laser speckle is the main concern, HiViGrey Cinema 3L is the more suitable choice.

Perfect flatness thanks to Dual-Tension

The special dual-tensioning system works horizontally and vertically, ensuring a permanently flat, wrinkle-free image surface – without waves. Ideal for precise geometry, clean edges, and demanding home cinema installations.

HiViLux 16:9 Tension Motorized Screen HiViGrey Cinema 0.8
HiViGrey Cinema 0.8 – controlled reflection for high image quality

The HiViGrey Cinema 0.8 technology (Gain 0.8) is designed for modern 4K and 8K projectors and offers excellent color reproduction with controlled reflection behavior – for high-contrast, brilliant images.

RF radio control & casing in black or white

The robust aluminum casing is available in black or white and blends harmoniously into any room aesthetic. The integrated RF radio system allows reliable control up to 20 m range – even without direct line of sight.

Variants: Aspect Ratio, Casing Color & Warranty

Please choose your variant:

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 HD Widescreen or 21:9 Cinemascope
  • Casing Color: Black or White
  • Warranty: 2 years or 5 years (optional)

Suitable for / Not recommended for / Alternatives

Suitable for:

  • Standard-throw and long-throw projectors
  • Home cinema and living rooms
  • Users who want a better black level than with a white screen
  • Rooms with moderate residual light
  • UST projectors when dedicated CLR performance is not required

Not recommended for:

  • UST / Laser TV when maximum CLR performance and stronger ambient-light rejection are required
  • RGB triple-laser projectors when laser speckle is the main issue

Alternatives:

  • RGB triple-laser / speckle reduction: HiViGrey Cinema 3L
  • Stronger contrast in residual light: HiViGrey Cinema 5D/HDR
  • UST / Laser TV: HiViPrism Cinema HDR CLR
Seamless one-piece projection surface

The projection fabric is made from one continuous piece of material. There are no joined, welded or sewn sections within the visible projection area, so there are no distracting seam or brightness lines. This keeps the image homogeneous and visually consistent across the entire surface.

Power connection & Plug & Play: Viewed from the front of the screen, the power connection is located on the right-hand side of the housing. The TXN series uses a detachable IEC power inlet and is supplied with a 5 m removable power cable. No fixed wiring or electrician connection is required: mount the screen, plug in the power cable and it is ready to use. If the cable needs to be routed neatly to the left-hand side, a cable duct can be fitted to the rear of the housing.

Continuously adjustable drop height: The drop can be set to any height from 0 up to its maximum; the selected extension position can be saved. Adjusting the height does not affect the flatness of the projection surface. Adjustable tab tension: The side tension cords can be retensioned as needed to optimize their tension.
